Troy Vincent
A 15-year NFL veteran, Troy Vincent was an All-Pro Defensive Back who has made powerful contributions and leadership on and off the field for the Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills and Washington Redskins. As one of the most respected players in the NFL, he has served as the President Elect of the National Football League Players Association. Troy was the only athlete to receive all four of the following awards, NFL Walter Payton, Man of the Year, Sporting News #1 Good Guy, NFL Players Association Byron Whizzer White Award, and NFL Athletes in Action, Bart Starr Award.
Troy has been recognized for his lifetime achievements from numerous organizations. The New Jersey General Assembly honored him with “Troy Vincent Day” and he was also the recipient of the “Warner Award” presented by Pop Warner. In addition, Troy was most recently inducted into the University of Wisconsin Hall of Fame.
Troy takes pride in his successes not only as a former professional athlete, but also in his civic and business leadership endeavors.
Troy received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Thomas Edison State College and also studied Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Wisconsin. He has completed Executive Education and Business Management Programs at Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg School of Management, and Harvard's School of Business. Troy continues his education and game plan for life as a member of The Academy for Athletes.
Troy Vincent's business activities are centered on educating and empowering others. He has an extensive list of civic activities in his hometown of Trenton, New Jersey. He has been honored and awarded by countless community organizations.
Troy is also involved in several leadership organizations by serving on the Board of Directors for the University of Wisconsin Foundation, and the State of New Jersey's After 3 Program. Vincent became the first active NFL player to serve on the National Board of Directors for Pop Warner Football. In addition Troy serves on the Board of Directors for Play To Win L.L.C.
Troy Vincent resides in Virginia with his wife and 5 children. He and his family founded Love Thy Neighbor Community Development and Opportunity Corporation, a not-for-profit organization. Troy's Community involvement and development has created a positive impact on many lives of residents of New Jersey and for this reason community awareness is an important part of his everyday life.
