Martha Rowe Meade joined AAA in 1989 and currently serves as the Manager of Public and Government Relations for the company's southern region. A graduate of the University of Richmond (Virginia), Meade calls upon her career of over 22 years in the travel industry to cover the travel beat for the public relations team. Meade joined the Public and Government Affairs team in 2004 and began a program to increase AAA's media exposure and advocacy efforts in Virginia. This program has resulted in a more than doubling of previous year's performance. She is a member of the Virginia Photo Red Coalition and oversees AAA Mid-Atlantic's sponsorship of Virginia's Grand Driver Program. During her tenure in the public affairs area, Meade has partnered with other safety advocates, police departments, citizen groups, medical professionals and the like to lobby for the safety of the motoring public in Virginia. Meade brings tremendous enthusiasm to the public and government relations' team and stands ready to assist the press, members and lawmakers alike.
