AAA Deposits Program Update:
Your source of information regarding recent changes to the AAA Deposit Program
AAA Mid-Atlantic recently announced an important change for the AAA Deposit Program for Certificates of Deposit, Money Market Accounts, or Individual Retirement Accounts. As of January 1, 2008 our relationship with Bank of America expired and a partnership with a new financial institution, Discover Bank, began.
These announcements were made via written notification, calls and voice mail messages to members who have AAA-sponsored accounts with Bank of America.
If you have one of these AAA-sponsored accounts with Bank of America, we would like to make you aware that while your current account with Bank of America will no longer have the AAA endorsement, it will continue to stay open as long as you wish.
AAA Accounts through Bank of America:
- Certificate of Deposit (CD) and Individual Retirement Account (IRA): If you own a AAA-endorsed CD or IRA account, your rate and term will continue unchanged until its maturity date.
- Money Market Account (MMA): If you own a AAA-endorsed Money Market Account, the interest rate on your account will continue to be linked to the Money Fund Report Averages™/All Taxable index outlined in your Deposit Agreement unless you receive written notice from Bank of America indicating otherwise.
- AAA Credit Cards: If you have a AAA Credit Card, that account will not be affected in any way.
As of January 1, 2008:
AAA began a partnership with a new financial institution, Discover Bank, offering FDIC-insured deposit products with AAA member-exclusive rates. Discover Bank, an FDIC insured institution has been awarded a Four-Star Safety Award and is consistently ranked among the Top 10 Providers according to Bankrate.com.
