2) Buying A Car:

With AAA’s hassle-free Vehicle Buying Program, it doesn’t get much easier. We’ve negotiated competitive member prices for most makes of new cars at participating dealers. You just tell us the car you want, and we’ll send you a certificate to buy it at the member price. Simple. You can check current price information for new and used cars, too, simply by going to AAA.com. And AAA also offers low-rate auto loans to help you swing the deal more easily.

3) Protecting Against Car Trouble:

You hope they won’t, but accidents happen. Cars break down or get broken into. AAA can help you be ready for the unexpected with affordable auto insurance coverage, available with preferred member rates and discounts for those who qualify. We can also provide you with Mechanical Breakdown Protection that covers mechanical problems and costly repairs — for less than you’d pay for similar coverage at a dealership. And, of course, you can always call AAA for Roadside Assistance— and get what you need to get going again: jump starts, tire changes, gas, opening a locked car, mechanical first-aid and towing. You can now request service online with our Road Service Online. And unlike many other roadside assistance plans, it doesn’t have to be your car. Even if you’re riding in someone else’s car, you can get help from AAA.

4) Maintaining Your Car:

Keeping your car in good shape doesn’t have to be a hassle or a gamble. With the AAA Approved Auto Repair Program, you can go to any AAA-approved facility, show your AAA Membership card, and get a free maintenance inspection while your car is being serviced by expert, certified technicians. The work will be guaranteed, too, for 12 months/12,000 miles with an extended service warranty. Plus many facilities give AAA Members discounts. Or say your car’s got some dents and dings. With the AAA Approved Auto Body Repair Program,* you can take it to any AAA-approved shop and get quality work with the same kind of service guarantee. And if your battery dies somewhere, you can call and ask for the AAA Battery Service. A technician will come out to your car in a van stocked with fresh batteries. He’ll test the old battery and install a new one on the spot. Check your charging system, too. And all you pay for is the new battery — at a special member price.

5) Using Your Car:

For things you need as you drive your car, AAA’s there for you.Need directions someplace? Call or go to a AAA office for a TripTik® or maps. Not to mention expert advice. There’s just one AAA. But there’s more than one way to belong with a variety of membership choices:

1) Coverage Options and Details:

Basic Membership-what many people have... And anything but basic in benefits. With it, you get Emergency Road Service, of course, as well as Emergency Road Service Online. Perks like free TripTik® routings, maps, TourBooks® and worldwide vacation planning. Plus access to a full range of additional automotive, travel, entertainment, financial, insurance, and home services — not to mention many deals and discounts — available only to AAA members.

AAA Plus® Membership-for more of a good thing. A way to enhance basic membership benefits with extras like extended towing service, free gas if you run out on the road, and additional lock-out service coverage. Plus greater reimbursements for non-AAA emergency roadside service, auto travel accident expense, and more.

AAA Associate* Membership-a way to cover household members with full Basic or Plus membership benefits for less cost.

AAA Plus RV Membership-worth having if you have a motor home or RV with dual rear wheels. Because in addition to every benefit of AAA Plus, it gives you tire change service and heavy-duty towing service when you need it.

2) About Emergency Road Service

Vehicles Covered:

• Any four-wheeled motor-driven vehicle — passenger car, pick-up truck (unloaded), van, camper or motor home — that you are driving or riding in as a passenger.
• Rented passenger vehicles.
• Dual-rear-wheel pick-up trucks and vans (except rear tire changes).
• Dual-rear-wheel campers and motor homes (except rear tire changes & towing).
• Commercial vehicles (except taxis && limousines), provided the vehicle can be towed with light-duty automotive servicing equipment.
• Light-duty trailers (except fifth-wheeled trailers) — service will be provided, but at your expense.

Vehicles covered * with PlusRV membership:

• Motor homes, Campers, RVs, Trailers, Motorcycles

*Subject to exclusions. Call 1-866-Members for details.

What’s not covered:

• Service if vehicles are unattended (except with prior approval), or in places not intended for public travel.
• Service if vehicles don’t have registration documents.
• Service if vehicles are snowbound or disabled at a service station where repair is available.
• Service if vehicles require heavy-duty towing equipment (except with AAA Plus RV).
• Service on taxis, limousines and fifth-wheeled trailers.
• More than one tow per service call.
• Mounting of tires on rims.
• Tire service for dual-rear-wheel trucks and vans.
• Tire, towing and stuck vehicle services for RVs, dual rear-wheel campers, travel or boat trailers, motor homes and motorcycles (except with AAA Plus RV).
• The cost of repair parts and labor — these will be at your expense.
• Delivery of diesel fuel.

Additional points:

• Basic members may have their vehicle towed to the responding AAA facility or up to three (3) miles to any other destination at no charge. AAA Plus members may have their vehicle towed to the responding AAA facility or up to one hundred (100) miles to any other destination at no charge.
• Basic and Plus members are entitled to four (4) emergency road service calls per member per membership year. AAA Mid-Atlantic will continue to provide service to members who exceed the four-call limit; however, members will be required to pay for each additional call at discounted AAA rates.
• Upgrades from Basic membership to a Plus or Plus RV membership become effective seven (7) days after your AAA Plus or AAA Plus RV membership has been processed.

AAA liability:

• We have contracted independent service facilities to provide Emergency Road Service. AAA shall not be liable for any damage, injury or loss occasioned by or resulting from the rendering, attempted rendering, or failure to provide any Emergency Road Service or towing service or failure thereof.
• The independent service facilities are not agents of AAA, nor is AAA an agent for them, and they are solely responsible for their actions. Any arrangement for subsequent, non-emergency repairs is between you and the service facility.
• This guide is a general description of benefits available to members in the AAA Mid-Atlantic territory. Some benefits mentioned may not be available in all areas. Products and services are subject to change without notice.
